How do I learn music online?
I use Zoom as a platform for online lessons, as it has great sound for music. This means I can teach you no matter where you are in the world. The app can be downloaded on smartphone, tablet or laptop and is really easy to use.
How would you describe your teaching method?
I teach people to sing and play in a healthy and holistic way, with good musicianship and good humour. Every student is an individual and so I adapt my teaching to suit their needs. I am happy to prepare students for graded music exams with either the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) or Trinity College London. I teach piano up to grade 5 and singing to professional level.
I have an audition coming up - can you help me?
As well as regular weekly or fortnightly piano and singing lessons, I also offer short courses in general musicianship, sight-reading, aural perception, and audition preparation and technique.
How does the consultation work?
During the consultation I will make sure you have the optimal audio settings set up on Zoom for the lesson, and then we can discuss your musical goals and how we can work together towards achieving them. It is also an opportunity for me to hear you play or sing, and for you to ask me any questions you have.
How much does it cost?
My pricing is competitive, and the first lesson is free so we can get to know each other first and see if it’s going to be a good collaboration.
